Soo quick update of what im doing, im out in Dahab training for the
competitive season back in the Uk for a few weeks as I want to get a podium
finish on the UKWA tour this year, but its not going to be easy as all the Uk
guys are sailing really well at the moment but im gunna train hard and cross my
fingers :D
So far the wind has been great out in Dahab and
ive been sailing almost everyday on my North I.D 4.7 and 5.3 and have learnt a
new move: Kabikuchi's pretty exited about these as it's a cool move to see,
basically you start a high and fast regular kono then change direction mid air
and spin a spock wich is pretty tech but ive got them pretty dialled now which is
awsome will try and film one tommorow :D

have. Just a quick update on where I’ve
been and what I’ve been up too first off I got a new fin sponsor!! K4
fins.I’m hyped on these fins and the
shape that Bubble has come up with is sick! it’s kinda in-between swept back and upright
so it slides great for double moves but still carves just as well for shaka’s
and the like. The fins Come in A 14, 16, 18 and 20cm us and powerbox and cost only
£42.50 which is less than half the cost of the average freestyle fin!!

In travelling news a few weeks back I went on a last minute
trip to Dahab.This was a really fun
trip despite the pretty crappy wind. I
learnt a shed load of funky light wind tricks and solidified some more power
moves so I’m pretty much set for the competitive season ahead. While I was out there I shared a flat Jamie
Drummond, Arriane Aukes (ranked 5th in PWA womens freestyle) and air
chacho master Marten Van Ochten. Our
flat was pretty sick and was good for chilling out, watching movies and eating
2 litre tubs of ice cream; it also had red lights in the bedrooms and a crazy
clock. It’s great sharing a place with other windsurfers as you can hype each
other up and discuss what moves to try in upcoming sessions. All in all it was a great trip and I want to
return to Dahab again even if it’s just to see all the super-chill guys that
live out there.

Blades, razors and knives?!
On return from Dahab me and my dad drove straight from Manchester
airport to West Kirby for the first UKWA freestyle event of the year. I was hyped to sail at Kirby as I’d heard of its
mirror flat water.The venue there was
sick and there was also concrete so I could skate which is always a bonus as
there was pretty much no wind.However, Trevor
Funnel had pulled some strings and organised a jet ski for tow-in!! What a legend; meaning we had rad action all
weekend despite the lack of wind. The towin was a real success meaning we had a
great weekend of competition and a fun evening, can’t wait for the next event.
Hey guys have been trying to make the most of the wind when it has been around in amongst exams but is pretty much impossible! But, I had a really great session at Portland on Sunday, with the wind blowing in from the south east which makes a nice change as that direction kicks up the chop which is sick for Shaka’s. Here are a couple of clips of a kono and a shaka taken through the van window by my Dad. The wind is looking good all weekend so check back here for an update!
Sorry I haven't had much of a chance to udate my posts lately school has really cranked up a notch as I near my GCSE's- but so stoked about my new North Fanatic Ion kit I just had to show it off a bit!!! I am super stoked to be part of this team apart from the kit being in my view the best available combination for freestyle, I have also got the support and experience of the Baker brothers to help me as I progress in my future windsurfing career.
I have had a couple of recent sessions down at Portland since the kit arrived - THIS KIT IS AWSOME! and to be honest it feels as if it was made for me and like i have been riding it for years....the skate is so fast which I find really helps with the big power moves and the ID's are amazingly light and super easy for ducking - really love them! Lately I have been trying to get more consistent at landing Culos and Konos on my bad tack and the ID's really helped me doing this.
I have also got a load of ION stuff including 5/4 Strike semi-dry wetsuit which has rad colouring and is so flexible and toastie warm ....and I didn't realise how uncomfortable my old harness was until I tried my new maddox Gollito signature harness.

I would like to say a big thank you to RRD for supporting me over the last couple of years, sad to be moving on, and a special big thanks to Adam Simms for his support and belief in me. Later this year I have decided to take time out of education after finnishing my GCSEs at the end of this summer, so I can get more time on the water training and hopefully push my freestyle to the next level. There are a few plans for some trips in the near future and throuout the summer I just can't wait to get out on this awsome kit!
